Love for Lenore is now free at Barnes and Noble

My historical short-story has finally made the premuim catalog at Smashwords and is offered through all their affiliates for free. This includs B&N, Sony, Diesel, Apple and more! Hopefully Amazon will catch on soon and also list it for free.

I'll keep you updated on how this affects my sales.

Thought Provoker

You read my favorite verse at the top. Did you know the verse after that one, Mt. 17:21 is often deleted out of new Bible versions? Check it out, open your Bible and see if it's there.

For me, this verse has a lot of meaning. More than once, I've fasted and had amazing results. Be it for someone, or for guidance. There's definitely power in fasting. Why do you think it would be omitted from so many versions?

Please don't put any words in my mouth. I've not said anything condemning about different versions. I'm simply pointing out a fact. However, if I were to think like our enemy, I might consider how, if implied, that verse could do damage to my goal and I'd naturally look for a way of getting rid of it.

Think about it.

Learning to Pray

I'm doing a study on this. So if you like, follow my tidbits as I share what I've learned.

1) Jesus showed us by example to have a private place to pray. I have learned by stepping into a small room with the light off, I'm far more able to shut out the thoughts and duties that fight for my attention and focus on my Creator.

2) Another interesting thought is to follow the way Jesus taught us to pray. In God's name, His kingdom, His will; then ask for our needs, forgiveness, direction, and deliverance.

3) Andrew Murray said, "Do not allow the experiences of your unbelief to be the measure of what your faith expects."

Ask, seek and knock. Jesus told us that everyone that asks, receives. He answers with a yes, no, or later.

That's exciting! And when we ask and receive, it leads us to seeking and finding the Giver. So when you pray, believe in what scripture says, you'll not only walk away with the confidence of knowing your prayer will be answered, but you'll have also spent time with the Giver.
